We left Chicken this morning to travel to the historic gold rush town of Dawson City, Yukon located on the Yukon River and Klondike River. The 109 miles of gravel road mix on the Taylor Highway and Top of the World Highways are some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. Around mile 60 we crossed the international border from Alaska to Yukon Territory and cleared customs. At the end of the Top of the World Highway we crossed the Yukon River on the George Black Ferry. The river is high, and the current is fast for this time of year.
The old town of Dawson City roads are dirt and the buildings the original architecture. We enjoyed exploring the town. The entire day was an adventure.
