In Summer 1984 my true love of travel began on my first abroad trip a 10-week student college program to Europe. Before my trip I was given the most precious gift ever from my friend Linda a small blue hardback travel journal with a note on the inside cover:
“may you travel far and wide and may those days be some of your happiest.”
At the time I didn’t know how true her words would be for my entire life.
Every day of my Europe trip was an adventure, and I am so very thankful each night I wrote in my blue travel journal events, locations, sites and highlights of the day. My first journal brings so many smiles to this day.
