Cache Creek, British Columbia to Bee Lazee Campground, Prince George, British Columbia. 260 miles on the Cariboo Highway / Highway 97. Gorgeous drive with never ending rivers, lakes, rolling hills and green grass with yellow flowers.
Fun stop at Mile 100 House. The name Gold Rush Trail Mile 100 originated in the 1860’s indicating 100 miles from Lillooet, the starting point of the Cariboo Wagon Road to the gold fields.
The trip is not about the destination but what we find and do along the way. We visited the Scout Island Nature Preserve in Williams Lake, BC and followed the trails along the marsh edge and lake. An adventure walk for us and Tugboat!
We arrived at Bee Lazee Campground which is about 7 miles from Prince George city center aound 5:00 PM. Beautiful weather today!
